Professional Skipper for Recreational Boats
PPER. Professional nautical certificate.
As a Professional Skipper for Recreational Boats you can transport up to 11 passengers on boats up to 24m at a distance of 60 miles from the coast. In addition, the PPER qualification allows you to teach classes in nautical schools.
In Escola Port Barcelona we prepare you for the PPER exam with our theoretical course of 20h, in which you will learn the legal precepts of national maritime law.
In Escola Port Barcelona you can also do the courses to obtain the certificates needed so that the DGMM can issue your title:
- Yacht captain
- Basic Safety Training
- Survival Craft and Rescue Boat other than Fast Rescue Boat
- GMDSS Restricted Operators Certificate (ROC)

The Spanish DGMM will issue the certificate, once the course has been completed.
